Youth Talk...

Asking for Rights

This refers to the ongoing killings of unarmed Kashmiri youth by Indian forces. One wonders why the protestors are dealt with such brutality. Why India, which claims to be the world's largest democracy, is denying Kashmiris their basic rights. How long will innocent and unarmed Kashmiris be killed?
How long will our mothers and sisters turn widows and children orphans? How long will the chastity of our mothers and sisters be outraged? And how long will the identity of Kashmiris be suspected? These are perhaps some democratic rights which are forcing Kashmiri youth to protest and come on to streets.M Sami

Show Seriousness

This is in response to the conditions set by Hurriyat (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani. Indian government must act on these conditions and try to start dialogue process.  It is important to create an atmosphere which can depict the seriousness on part of Indian leadership.
The conditions laid down by Geelani are realistic and if Indian leadership is sincere to resolve the issue this is the moment. It is internationally accepted fact that the State of Jammu and Kashmir is a dispute and there should no hesitation on part of Indian leadership to accept this fact. Instead of looking it (Kashmir) through the narrow prim of ‘national interest’, it is time to address the issue with sincerity and seriousness.

BJP’s Caveat

This refers to the meeting of BJP leaders with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Kashmir situation. BJP is a party which lacks human ethos. Leaders like Advani, Sushma don’t care about HR violation committed by Indian troopers in Kashmir.
Instead of taking a realistic view at the issue, they have warned Manmohan Singh not to be lax and crush the present uprising with a heavy hand. People of Kashmir are being killed and brutalised yet the so leaders of the world’s largest democracy are driven by the hollow ideas of nationhood and nationalism.

Return to Allah

The current situation in the valley compels us to find out the solution to the problems to we are confronted with. I firmly believe that politicians add only fuel to the fire.
If we want to find out the remedy, the best is to go back to the Quran and sunnah. I am sure we can get answers to our problems.
