Integral Part of INDIA???

Featured post

Accepting Jammu Kashmir as a disputed territory is a legal and historical compulsion for New Delhi. If accession is valid then dispute is very much there and has to be settled through a reference to the people

Indian government, the ruling party at center and opposition all sing in unison that Kashmir is an integral part of India. To break their myth We put forth these arguments to them.

1. What is United Nations Military Observer’s group (UNMOG) doing in Srinagar? If Kashmir no longer is a dispute, the UNMOG must go. In 1972 after signing the Simla Agreement, New Delhi asked the UNO to withdraw its military observer from Jammu Kashmir. But the UNO refused.

2. More then 90 civilians were killed by the Paramilitary forces since June,11 of this year alone and more than 100 thousand people were killed since last 10 or 15 years.

Refutation in Advance (RIA): To this they reply that- these civilians are not civilians at all, they carry stones in their hands and provoke the Paramilitary forces, If this is the case then why- in Mumbai, Delhi etc  water tanks are used to disperse the protestors (who carry the same stones) while here no other option is found but to open fire at the angry mobs and the bullets strike their upper body, which means firing is aimed to kill and not to stop the angry protestors. Out of the 31 patients with the bullet injuries, admitted in SKIMS on Aug 2,2010, 15 have been shot above the legs with 14 on head. Note: Protection of life and personal liberty is mentioned in the Article 21 of Indian constitution which the Indian government is itself defying in Kashmir.

3. Paramilitary forces here are given special powers (like AFSPA) to lash out their confusion and madness at the civilians.

RIA: To this they reply that- Conditions in Kashmir are abnormal and 'security' forces have to be given some additional powers so that they may defend themselves and the people, If this is the case then why- These forces are harassing the civilians, they murder the innocents, blow up the houses of people in the name of 'encounter', abuse and even molest the daughters and mothers of Kashmir. Had these forces been as a 'security' for civilians then why are they against them. And from what are they providing people security? Infact the biggest threat to civilians is the presence of Indian Troopers here in Kashmir.

4. Civilians and the leaders of Kashmir are booked under PSA.

RIA: To this they reply that- The leaders create confusion amongst people and provoke them to go against India. If this is the case then India should stop calling itself a big democracy firstly, and secondly do  people sitting in air-condition rooms 1000 or 1500 kms or even 10000 Kms away from Kashmir think that Kashmiris are fools here that we would follow anyone and every hanky panky person?

5. Kashmiris when outside state are often harassed in hotels, motels etc and are often wrongly convicted as terrorists etc. They are always looked upon with suspicion and doubt.
Note: Hence Kashmiris are even deprived of the first fundamental right which Indian constitution grants to its citizens, that is the right to equality.

6. Nearly 800000 troopers  have been  bombarded here and that too in the populated areas.

RIA: 800000 troopers have been bombarded and that too in the populated areas. Note:The total population of Kashmir is around 80 lakh which means the troops-civilian ratio is 1:10. Which is unique to Kashmir in the entire subcontinent.

7.  Local population is being harassed for peaceful protest, even those protesting over FACEBOOK are not spared. And FIR is being hammered on all of them.   What has happened to the freedom of speech which is supposed to be the funadament right of every INTEGRAL citizen of India, are the commoners not even allowed to raise their voices over the unending blood bath? Note:  Protection of certain rights regarding freedom of speech, etc are clearly specified in the article 19 of Indian constitution.

These points are enough to prove that the claim of India that Kashmir is their ‘integral’ part if hollow in totality. How can it be an ‘integral’ part of India when the basic rights which are enjoyed by each and every Indian citizen are not granted to Kashmiris. In reality, the so called one of the biggest democracies of the world is at war with the people of Kashmir.

It is High time that India accepts Kashmir as an International Disputes and resolves the long pending issue according to the wishes and aspirations of People of Jammu and Kashmir.
